YWCA Quad Cities is growing its Early Learning Academy to serve more local families by opening an additional preschool classroom this fall. Through a partnership with the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education, the new classroom will operate as a Preschool for All (PFA) program, expanding access to high-quality early childhood education for children ages 3–5.
The expansion comes as more families seek quality preschool opportunities that prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond. The Preschool for All program combines experienced educators, an evidence-based curriculum, and strong family engagement to help children build the academic, social, and emotional skills they need to thrive.
Studies continue to show that children who attend high-quality preschool programs are more likely to enter kindergarten ready to learn, develop stronger literacy and math skills, and experience long-term academic success. By expanding its Early Learning Academy, YWCA Quad Cities is investing in the future of local children while helping working families access affordable, dependable care.

The Preschool for All program is offered at no cost for families whose children attend half-day sessions. Families needing full-day care may qualify for financial assistance, making high-quality early education more accessible for working parents.
At the YWCA Early Learning Academy, children learn through hands-on activities, purposeful play, and meaningful relationships with caring educators. The program is designed to foster curiosity, independence, confidence, and resilience while ensuring every child is kindergarten-ready.
