Stimulus Assistance Program

STIMULUS CHECK ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The YWCA Quad Cities is working to ensure that all Quad Citizens receive their 2020 Economic Impact Payment, or Stimulus Check. The first round of checks were released in the Spring of 2020 in direct reaction to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Millions of Americans who should have received a payment have not yet. YWCA Quad Cities is equipped with the tools to help you locate and receive your payment! Call the YWCA today at 563.340.0310 for more information on this program!

What is a stimulus check?

A stimulus check is a one time payment of up to $1,200 ($2,400 for married couples) for those who makes less than $75,000/year (less than $150,000 for married couples). There is an additional stipend of $500 for each child in the household under the age of 16.

How do I get a stimulus check?

Those who have filed taxes in 2018/2019 should have received a stimulus check. Those who did not, or who do not have to file taxes may need to take additional steps. YWCA Quad Cities staff can help with this process!

What if I don’t have a bank account?

YWCA Staff members are trained to help you set up an account, or find other ways to receive your money through a pre-paid card or online service.

What if I don’t or didn’t file taxes?

Taxes can be filed on-site, or you can submit your necessary information via the IRS-non-filer website. All of this can be done on-site with staff assistance!
